Over the next few days, The Board of Registration in Medicine will be making some minor changes to the way we collect and store certain types of professional demographic information in the physician profiles system. Information about translation services, insurance plans and post graduate training will be changed from free text fields to standardized fields. This will make it easier for consumers to understand and for physicians and the Board to maintain this information. This change will also bring us one step closer to being able to achieve our ultimate goal of allowing physicians to submit profile information on-line as part of our on-line renewal initiative in the months ahead.
Please note that we are making no substantive changes to physician profile information. As always, we invite physicians to review their profiles on-line and submit changes whenever it is appropriate.
